All Black

There's no better time to go for an all black outfit than when you are feeling large and in charge during your pregnancy. Black is supposed to be slimming, right?

{Sweater: Francesca's Collection (old), Leggings: Old Navy Maternity, Tank: H&M (old), Boots: DSW, Scarf: Old Navy}

To be honest, I feel pretty big already and to think that I will probably double in size in my last trimester sort of scares me a little. But I'm taking it all in stride and just thinking about baby girl growing and staying healthy in my belly makes it all worth it. I can turn into a whale if it means our baby is happy!

Have a great weekend everyone. Time to get that Christmas shopping list crossed off!

I don't think you look that big at all. Black is chic and so are you on this outfit. So simple and yet well put together.

Only your belly is growing. The rest of ya is pretty much the same. So lucky! You're definitely right. The longer she stays in the belly and the bigger she is, the better for her :).

The first picture made me smile...I was thinking that expecting mothers really do "carry" their babies. That's a great pose.
I hate to say what everyone else is saying, but you look great.

Jen ♥ said...

Oh girl, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I have been on the high-end of the "normal" weight gain scale almost my entire pregnancy & it has freaked me out just about the whole time. It's frustrating because I've worked out pretty much 5-6 days a week the entire time & feel like I've eaten pretty well. My Dr says 'some women just gain more weight no matter what they do.' Feeling large has been worse some days more than others but yeah...now that I've hit 36 weeks I officially have a basketball belly. But I'm with you - as long as baby boy is growing the way he's supposed to & comes out happy & healthy, that's what matters. I'll worry about losing the extra lbs later.

One thing a friend told me early on that has helped me a bit was that no matter how large you feel like you're getting, everyone else just sees you as pregnant & not just fat like you sometimes feel. Hang in there! You're doing great & you really do just look like a beautiful, glowing pregnant lady!

Having never been pregnant myself I can't say that I relate but I certainly don't see you as "big!" You are so adorable! BUT, I can understand what you mean and I'm sure having been petite that being pregnant in the third trimester must feel insanely different (body wise)!

Love the scarf with the black outfit! =)

Well my dear, you manage to look chic yet relaxed. I like your choice of boots. I remember when I was pregnant of my second child (18 years ago) I gained 65 lbs and I couldn't find nothing to wear ;-(. These days, stores are bringing adorable maternity clothes, that I wish we had back then. I like your blog btw ;-)

Aw congratulations! You look great, when I was pregnant I wore all black pretty much religiously. They told me my third trimester I would gain the most weight, but I gained 10 more pounds so I don't think you'll double in size.
