A Pregnancy Must Have

Cardigans are pretty much a pregnant woman's fashion saving grace. Good thing I already own a ridiculous amount.

{Cardigan: Old Navy (old), Top: Francesca's (old), Leggings: Old Navy Maternity, Boots: Steve Madden (old), Boot Socks: H&M (old), Necklace: Bauble Bar, Watch: Marc Jacobs}

It's seriously so easy to just throw on a cardigan over a top to make an outfit work. It doesn't matter if it buttons or not, which is just perfect for my growing bump. So far I haven't had to buy much maternity clothing, just some leggings, but no tops yet. I'm trying to hold out for as long as I can, but I'm not sure how long it'll last.

We did finally decide on nursery colors. We're going with a light teal for the walls, pink (obviously) for the decor, and gray as the neutral base color. I hope to show you some before/after pictures once we make some progress in the next few months. You can follow me on instagram for some snippets here and there until then!

I'm with you on the cardigans. And I think they look cute when you button a couple of the buttons and leave the ones over your belly open. Love watching your belly grow :)

Somehow my wife had a maternity top on before I even got home from work (the day she found out she was pregnant). She must have gone shopping right after her appointment.

Since we were renting from a grumpy guy, our first child had to come home to a beige room. :(. The room you have planned is going to be very pretty!

You're lookin so cute!

Cardigans have definitely been my saving grace too. Especially since some of my blazers are a little too tight now. My only worry is warm winter gear - I'm already having a hard time zipping some of my winter coats & vests. Luckily it hasn't been TOO cold yet so I've been OK. You're lucky on not having to buy much maternity stuff yet. I don't have a ton either - 5 pairs of pants (3 jeans & 2 work pants), 2 dresses, & several shirts (my girls grew pretty big pretty quick so shirts were a must fairly early on. :-) I found a v-neck t-shirt at Target that I loved & bought it in 4 colors! Also, H&M has some super cute stuff too - I got some tights there for cheap - a 2 pack for $10. I just wish there were more color options for tights/leggings.

I wore a lot of Cardigans, Dresses, Skirts & Boots while pregnant, especially October-January. I belted the Cardis just like you did here. I, too didn't 'require' much Maternity clothing since I carried small and didn't gain too much weight.

I am loving the trio of colors you chose for the nursery and cannot wait to see it once it's all done. =)

Oh I didn't know you're pregnant! Congratulations!

Wow - I can't believe you made it so long with hardly any maternity clothing!! Good for you!

Q - Is it comfortable wearing those belts above your belly or do they get annoying and in the way?
