A Nursery Update

Can we first talk about how it's Thanksgiving next week already!? I feel like November flew by. Perhaps it's because we've been spending all our time getting the nursery ready. Here's a peek at our progress.

The room before was a gloomy green color and for some reason all of the woodwork was an off-white/cream color instead of just plain white. So we repainted all of the walls, the ceiling, and all of the woodwork.

We wanted the nursery to be bright and cheerful so we went with a light teal color for the walls. I had always wanted a striped accent wall, which let me just say was harder to do than we anticipated. We love how it all came out! Oh and this rug... I'm so in love with this rug.

This is the start of the gallery wall I'm making. I'm finding cheap frames and then spray painting them... yay for DIY! And isn't this is the cutest owl hamper ever?!

Now we're off to get more things done. Some of the bigger things we still need are furniture and window treatments. And then I can start doing little decor things and organizing. Is it weird I'm excited to organize? Nesting, here I come!

Have a great weekend everyone!
