Ultimate Comfort

First I want to say thank you all so much for all of your comments, tweets, instagram messages, and emails on my big news of being a first time mom. You are all incredibly sweet.

{Cardigan: Zara (old), Tee: H&M (old), Maxi Skirt: PipLey Boutique (sold out), Necklace: Francesca's Collection (old), Belt: H&M, Bracelets: David Yurman, Forever 21}

Maxi skirts pretty much provide the ultimate comfort for me as my baby bump begins to grow. While pants make me feel like I either can't breathe or I'm suffocating my baby... this skirt is soft, stretchy, and stylish. I wish I could wear maxi skirts into the winter and for the rest of my pregnancy. But alas, I can't. It looks like I'll have to look into pregnancy pants. Say it ain't so!

Have a great weekend everyone! I'm off to find more maxi skirts to wear...

What pretty pattern & color on your maxi skirt. When I was preggo & bought my 1st pair of jeans I couldn't believe how comfy they were. I bought some from the Gap and they were very reasonable & stylish without breaking the bank. We have a maternity store here that sold designer maternity jeans but I would never spend $100+ on a pair of maternity jeans.

I LIVED in maxis the first few months, that's for sure. I'm still trying to get as much use as I can out of mine but it's starting to get a little colder so I'm not sure how much longer.

Just an FYI - I've been finding most of my maternity clothes at Old Navy. They're super affordable & it's easy to shop because I just buy the same size as I was pre-maternity. In my area, they hardly have anything in store (which is weird since I'm in Utah) so I've done most of my shopping online. Also, as far as pants are concerned...I found that the full or smooth panel pants are much more comfortable than the demi panel ones. The demi panel tends to be a little tight and as you grow it gets uncomfortable, especially when you're sitting down. The smooth panels give lots of breathing room & should last you through most of your pregnancy. My fave jeans are a pair of ON's rockstar full panel jeggings. I bought them when I was barely showing & I'm still wearing them now. Super comfy.

Oh you can definitely definitely wear maxi's for most of your pregnancy! Just get some wool-based ones, with a bit of lycra and try to find circle ones / full skirts because at first you can wear them as maxi and then pull up and tie with a belt just under the bra line to create an empire line midi dress that can be worn with low-heel/flat-feel booties and cosy cardigans or coats. :)
