Forever My Home

One of my favorite trends for spring and summer is bright, neon colors. I also love anything anchors themed. It reminds me of warm summer days, relaxing near the water, and feeling that ocean breeze.

{Sweater: Forever 21, Skirt: The Limited (similar), Shoes: c/o ShoeMint, Clutch: Target (old), Belt: TargetWatch: Marc JacobsBracelets: David Yurman, Alex and Ani, t+j Designs (similar)}

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who tweeted, texted, or messaged me on Monday to make sure I was ok during the horrific events. My family and friends are all safe.

For those who don't live in Massachusetts, you probably don't really know... but Marathon Monday/Patriots Day is probably one of the happiest days in Boston. It's been around for more than 100 years and it's a day we all celebrate and enjoy. Most of the runners of the marathon run for charities. It's people who are our neighbors, friends, and coworkers, people who have trained for months or even years for this race. I sincerely hope these runners can still feel proud of their accomplishments and not let this evil act take that away from them. My heart is sad and my thoughts are with those who were injured and to the family and friends of those who lost their lives.

I've lived in Massachusetts for almost my whole life. Boston is one of the best cities that I know. We are strong and we will band together to move forward. Boston is forever my home.

I have always loved Boston, I was first there when I was very little for a family vacation and I was there again three years ago to watch a good friend run in the race. He qualified after just one marathon. Anyway, I remember how great the event was and how I swear all of Boston came to the even to line up along the whole 26.2 miles. It was such an experience, just being a spectator and I know he said it was by far the best marathon he has been in to this day. Thinking of you, stay strong Boston!
