A Bostonian Thing

Wearing a dress when there is snow on the ground is only something people here do.

{Dress: Old Navy (old) (similar), Denim Jacket: Nordstrom, Rain Boots: Hunter Boots, Belt: Target, Bracelets: David Yurman, t+j Designs}

Having lived in the Boston area almost my whole life, I'm used to the fact that one day it can be snowy and bitterly cold and the next day it's sunny and warm. We are just not afraid of the cold here, sick of it yes, but afraid, not so much. I've seen people out in shorts in the middle of January, shoveling with sandals, and running in the middle of a hurricane. It's what we do here. And I love it.

We recently had another snowstorm and apparently there is another one coming tomorrow. After the storm it was crazy warm, so I figured it was the right time to finally wear a dress with no tights. Do you have weird weather where you live? How do you deal with it? Raise your hand if you feel like this is the longest winter ever!

Love the dress and the belt combo. What I hate is that it's in the mid 40's when I leave for work, and then by the time I get home from work it's in the low 80's. When I get home, I realize the tights I wore are way to hot...weather just needs to make up their mind. Granted totally different situation then dealing with snow I realize :) And 45° is probably warm to you bostonians. =)

Your outfit is very encouraging, that spring really is right around the corner. We had flurries today, but no real snow. I like the cold. Hah, what we cold weather girls won't do for style. :) You're so brave for going bare legged though, I tend to fall down a lot in the winter so I go bare arm-ed before the legs!

This winter does seem like its taking forever and it has been a crazy one! We broke a hundred record for cold snaps in the first two months of winter and then we've just had crazy high temps and crazy low temps since then. It seems like it's been a really bad year for everyone down in the lower 48, I don't remember seeing storms like that so late in the year and it's just been non stop for you down there!

Hand raised! We are supposed to have snow again tomorrow and Monday :( But you are adorable, as always, and I want your skin tone.

The End.
