During a Snowstorm

As you know, we got hit with a mega blizzard last weekend that left us with over 30 inches of snow. It took us 3 days to dig out and schools were closed for days! So while it was doing this outside....

And my husband was doing this...

I was sitting inside where it was warm and dry, doing a lot of this....

{Iphone Case: c/o iconemesis, Coffee Mug: Anthropologie}

I spent 3 days sitting at home doing a whole lot of nothing. There was a driving ban on the state, so we weren't allowed to leave the house, not that there was anywhere to go. As a result, I spent countless hours on my phone and playing with my new iphone case from iconemesis. They work with amazing artists to create gorgeous cases like this one. It takes a lot for me to switch cases, but this one is just too cute!

And I think I drank 5 cups of coffee a day just out of sheer boredom. I tried to read a book, but instead I ended up watching too much reality TV. My poor husband spent about 3-4 hours snow blowing our driveway and walkway. We didn't lose power, so that was a plus. I would have lost my mind if I was stuck at home with no TV to watch!

What do you do during snowstorms?

Now time for this week's Friday Love-It Notes:

1. Giving my niece her first red envelope for Chinese New Year. She sort of just looked at me with eyes that said "can I eat this?"... one day she'll learn to love those envelopes!

2. The Walking Dead is back on TV!

3. Coming home from a long day at work to find this Valentine's Day surprise from my husband. He sure knows the way to my heart!

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Saw your Vday surprise on IG - lucky, lucky! That snow is insane! I thought we got hit hard last month but we only had about 18 inches at once. But it's been so cold it's all still here! (turning black & looking really gross).

I'm with you on staying inside & sipping coffee with reality tv playing all day long. Although sometimes I like to bundle up & go outside with my pup, Copa. She is OBSESSED with the snow & it's so cute and fun to watch her delightfully frolicking in the snow.
