With that being said, this year, I am actually going to make a resolution. Yes, I realize I just contradicted my own philosophy. There is one thing that I've always felt I needed improvement on and if I don't mentally tell myself to do it, I don't think I will.
You see, I am a planner. And I'm a worrier. I'm always planning things out in my head and before they even happen I'm worrying about the next. This has to stop. Mostly for my husband's sanity. I was reading my blog soulmate's post a while back and she hit the nail on the head with this quote.

This is such a great resolution. And I love that you chose to focus on only one thing. I feel like the success rate is higher that way! I am also a huge worrier and I am going to try my very best to live in the moment in 2013 and to stop worrying so darn much!
I dont like making resolutions either so i didnt.... I end up keeping them for a week and thats all... But less worrying would be good for me too...

Such a great resolution! I have ALWAYS been a worrier, I'm pretty sure it stems from my mom who is to this day the top worry-wort! Stressing about things never changes the end result...I struggle with this everyday. So I too, need to work on this.

My resolution is to never have resolutions, because I'm usually in the same boat that are you are in regards to having and trying to commit to resolutions. You reach a point in life where you mostly just let life run its course and hands you whatever cards it deals you. That's just how it goes.

I heard the best advise one time: "Wait to Worry". Don't try and cut yourself off from worrying.. just wait on it. Anytime you start to worry- tell yourself to wait. Wait to see if you REALLY need to worry.. or not. :) I have tried implementing the strategy, and it's surprising how well it works!

Happy New Year! And oh my - I was just talking about this. I'm actually planning a baby shower for a friend who lives in another state so I'm basically planning out all the decorations and everything blindly without really knowing what the location is going to look like. I have no idea how the tables will be set up and this was getting me stressed out. When I plan events, I have to do walkthroughs and have the logistics down pat! But my husband was telling me to just play it by ear, that it's a casual affair and not formal and to enjoy the moment. I actually made a resolution list (first in a long time) and may have to tag this one on! :)

I'm a planner too and I definitely just over think every detail and situation. Good luck with your New Year resolution! I listed a bunch on my blog...I think too much! We'll see how the year goes.
I love your resolution AND your outfit! The mint with the leather skirt is just adorable, especially with the pretty purple accent necklace! I tend to worry and plan a lot too, especially with outfit planning and stuff now that I started the blog, and I definitely need to remind myself a lot that if I don't get a post up as planned, its not the end of the world!
