The week leading up to the big day, I was so stressed that it was going to rain. Our ceremony was to be outside by the water. On the day of the wedding, I tried to remain calm and was mostly successful. As it got closer to the start of the ceremony, I kept peering out our suite window. I could see the ceremony site down below and was getting more and more excited. However, 30 minutes before the ceremony, it started to POUR. Seriously, it was practically sleeting out there. I just kept saying to myself "I WILL get married outside today". Meanwhile downstairs, the coordinator tried to move the wedding inside, but my future husband kept saying to them, "No, she wants to be married outside and she's going to get her dream wedding".
Literally 5 minutes before the ceremony was to start, the rain suddenly stopped, the clouds parted, and the sun was shining so brightly that the ground immediately dried. It was simply magical. They say rain is good luck on your wedding day... well I was able to get the luck and my dream wedding!
We're off for a mini getaway to celebrate this amazing year. See you later next week!

My wedding day was also overcast and I was freaking out about whether or not it would rain. I had to make a decision on having our ceremony indoors or out, and decided to do it outside. Luckily it didn't rain during it, but the sun never came out.

Aw, you looked so pretty on your wedding day! Funny coincidence that I was in Boston around the same time last year for my cousin's wedding, but she wasn't as lucky as you- there were thunderstorms on her wedding day (on the coast!) but the wedding still turned out lovely despite the rain :)
